The Stronlossit Inn - all day dining and wining near Fort William in Lochaber
The food quality and service care you will receive and savour here is inspirational; from mouth watering Scottish cuisine promoting authentic natural flavours of fresh local produce in season, in a 'home cooking' style, to levels of comfort and amenity only found in all but the very best of Scottish Inns
There is nothing pretentious, haughty, 'gastro pub' or ‘haute cuisine’ here - the simple, uncomplicated, totally consistent quality cuisine at Stronlossit Inn has won many admirers over the years, and continues to attract repeat local and residential repeat guests alike
The owners will combine to prepare your meal from a range of local Scottish Highland produce, delivered fresh to the Inn every day. Fresh fish, shellfish and vegetarian dishes are always on the menu. Evening meal, Light Bite and Lunch menus are always available. The owner combination factor is the key to the consistency of quality
And the menus at Stronlossit Inn read prosaically. No fancy phrases, or even much detail about cooking methods, so the impact - when the food is delivered - is all the greater. There aren't many meals that make you wonder what tricks the chef has pulled off to make the food taste this good. Steak sizzlers and freshly made hand cut chips – Gordon Ramsay eat your heart out!
We are passionate about great, simple, scrumptious dining experiences – so we just cook Scottish classics, oft with a subtle international twist, with skill and polish.
The inn is one of Lochaber’s most popular and favourite country eating out experiences. Much of our produce, including wonderful Scotch beef, comes from the surrounding farms and our local farmers are very discerning about how their endeavours are presented and flavoured on the plate, yet are some of our very best regular customers so there is a local recommendation if ever there was one! Add to this, the best in Scotch Smoked Salmon form Andy Race, our delicious bakeed breads, and scrummy local home made ice creams.
